Scholarships

We believe that music plays a significant role in a young person's education and personal growth. All while providing a creative outlet, as well as, a sense of confidence and a unique way to make new friends.

Thank you for your interest in the Starbright Music & Performing Arts Private Lessons Scholarship. Starbright, along with Friends of Vail, recognize that for some families, the cost of private music lessons can be prohibitive. The purpose of this scholarship is to provide an opportunity to one qualified student who is interested in music, but has fewer financial resources.

 

This scholarship will provide one eligible student with FOUR 30-minute PRIVATE MUSIC LESSONS at Starbright Music & Performing Arts. Over the course of four weeks, the selected student will receive weekly, one-on-one lessons from one of our experienced & inspiring music instructors.

 

Application Form & Submission Process:

Applications will be accepted Friday, May 3, 2024 until the deadline on Friday, May 31, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. The chosen student will be determined, and a parent/guardian will be contacted by Starbright Music & Performing Arts, on Friday, June 7, 2024.

 

Eligibility Rules & Requirements:

Qualified students must be enrolled in a public school, private school, homeschool or parochial school, and be between the ages of 8-18. The scholarship may be applied to the following Private Lesson options: Voice, Piano, Guitar, Ukulele, Drums. 

 

Please Note:

*This scholarship is not available for Pre-k, college, post-graduate students, or adults over the age of 18.

*Starbright Music & Performing Arts does not loan, rent, sell or provide instruments for students to take home. However, the instrument of choice, i.e. piano, guitar, ukulele or drums, will be provided on-site, at Starbright’s location, throughout the duration of the private lessons.

This application form is designed to help the scholarship committee make an eligibility determination. All information collected in this application is held in the strictest confidence.
